Update

Hi everyone.  Long time no see....

Hip surgery recovery has been tough.

I resigned from my position at Church after 7 years.

I withdrew our Letter of Membership.

My daughter and son inlaw are moving back to our town.

My husband went on the night shift.

My Father In Law is on his death bed, Hospice has been called.

My Mother In Law doesn't understand and lays in the bed with him.

They have been married almost 60 years.

8 days ago was the first time they had ever spent the night apart, he was hospitalized.

And my gardens look like crap!

I Am Still Around....

I don't know if this link to my You Tube channel will work or not.  I am busy learning new crafts while winter is creeping in.  It is supposed to be in the low 30's or high 20's in the morning.  I am not sure how much longer I will be blogging... I HATE all the spam and I HATE word verification...AND it would help if I was gardening.  I go back to the surgeon on the 3rd, prayerfully he will release me...yeah right in my dreams!  6 month mark maybe.. I will try to get around to visiting you all.  Hope your Thanksgiving was great and you are beginning to get into the Christmas Spirit.

Maybe Jack Frost will put my garden to sleep for it's winters nap.....then I can stop fretting about it.

Getting Trying to get ready for the craft Fun Day this weekend, the 17th.  This is a huge craft fair, at least I think it is, 252 vendors..

 

 

Saturday evening, when we return home from the craft fair.. I WILL be storing and setting up the downstairs apartment!!  No more trekking through the house with craft items....sheesh. If I can't use the back deck stairs, because of my hip, I'll just walk around and down the side yard.

 

My hip/knee/leg to the ankle, continues to swell on and off...I am thankful that I have been blessed to live in such a way that I stay home, therefore am comfortable during this process. (staying in p.j.'s all day, it's very uncomfortable and awkward wearing jeans with one hip swollen) 

 Don't know what I would have done if I had to of left the house daily for work.

 

Here's to all my new You Tube crafting friends and my old blogging friends that are experiencing crunch time getting ready for Craft Fairs.....

Remember I am still working in our little breakfast nook area.  When I can manipulate the stairs on the outside deck, without fear of slipping, I'll be back in the craft apartment...

Spent ALL day yesterday trying to make paper flowers.  If you have an easy technique please do share.

I also played on and off with the dry embossing and the embossing powder with different water based inks.

Gotta get back to serious work today.  Good day for it. It's about 45 or so (7.5c) and will not be warming up much.

Busy Family - Get Out and Vote!

It's going to be nasty, nasty, nasty out the next few days.  Wet and cold!  Glad I'm restricted to what I can do when the weather is like this.  I will be getting to the polls though!! And so should you.

The artsy/fartsy bug has infected my entire household..

I have had two quite large craft hauls this week...so, so much fun!

The Last Couple of Days

I have tried my hand at  heat embellishing...and dry embellishing with my new toy...not picitured.

Actually the black and blue purse looking thing is my new embellishing machine, looks just like a little purse.
LOVE IT!
